With the exception of 3rd party content (such as social networking feeds) and public domain images, content and images on the Secular Woman website and in the mailing list messages we send are copyrighted. Contact us if you have a question about a specific item, but in general:
Written content is subject to “fair use” terms, meaning that you may cite or quote brief excerpts on your website or in your publication if you clearly credit Secular Woman and provide the URL www.SecularWoman.org (or, in the case of electronic republication, create an active hyperlink directly to the quoted page on our website). You may also post brief excerpts of Secular Woman content on your social networking accounts and/or e-mail content links to others. We very much appreciate promotional links to the Secular Woman website and believe that all will benefit from the growth made possible by Secular Woman’s success. You are free to use any of our logos to link to http://www.SecularWoman.org/ If you have room to add text, please use our mission: The mission of Secular Woman is to amplify the voice, presence, and influence of non-religious women. Thank you!
This Agreement governs your access to and use of any content or images (hereinafter referred to as the “Content”) provided on the Secular Woman website (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”) or via mailing list e-mails from the Secular Woman hereinafter referred to as the “Website Owner”). By accessing, browsing, or using the Content, you acknowledge that:
If you are not willing to be or cannot be bound by all of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, including without limitation the preceding agreement and acknowledgment, then do not access, browse, or use the Content. Moreover, the Website Owner does not and will not grant you any right or license to access, browse, or use the Content without your assent to be bound by all of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, including without limitation the preceding agreement and acknowledgment.
You agree that the Content is and remains the sole property of the Website Owner or third-party providers, as applicable. Except as expressly and specifically permitted by the Website Owner in this Agreement or otherwise in writing, you agree that your license to access, browse and/or use the Content is limited solely to a personal, revocable, nonexclusive, non-transferable license to: (i) access and view the Content; (ii) copy, download, and store the Content (e.g., in a temporary cache) to enable printing and/or offline viewing of such Content solely for your personal use and not for resale or distribution to anyone else; (iii) reproduce brief excerpts of the Content under “fair use” terms as described in U.S. Copyright Law; (iv) share brief excerpts of the Content via e-mail and/or your social networking account(s); and (v) embed dynamic Content such as an RSS feed in your website, blog, or homepage.
Except as expressly and specifically permitted by the Website Owner in this Agreement or otherwise in writing, you will not copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, transmit, download, upload, post, sell, rent, license, transfer, publicly perform, publicly display, mirror, frame, scrape, extract, wrap, create derivative works of, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the Website or the Content, in whole or in part, in any form or by any means, whether manual or automatic. Further, you may not use any metatags, meta-elements, “hidden text,” or other equivalents using the names “Secular Woman,” or anything confusingly similar thereto without the prior written permission of the Website Owner.
You have the right to unsubscribe your e-mail address from mailing lists and to decline postal mailings. Occasionally Secular Woman may trade information with organizations of compatible mission as a strategy for expanding the secular movement; you have the right to opt out of such data sharing.
